Burning Uke–Sept. 18-21

Hi Monterey Ukers!

We’ve got the low down on the next BURNING UKE event in the Santa Cruz mountains at Little Basin State Park.  The flyer with all info and a map of the campgrounds has been posted on our website under Events & Gigs.  [Use this link, then choose the flyer link.]

Little Basin is a formerly private campground near Boulder Creek, and is now our newest state park.  The facilities for a large group such as this include hot showers, cold storage and freezers for food, a kitchen, BBQ and open-air dining facilities and a large amphitheater.

This is a great opportunity to play your uke and sing in a gorgeous redwood infested location with a great bunch of people from many parts of California and some from far off places.  Lots of walking/hiking available too.

It’s an outdoor event, unless it’s raining, like it did last year when we got cozy in the Rec Hall!  Cabins are available with bunk beds, if tenting or RVing isn’t your thing.

There will be lots of fun & helpful workshops–at no extra cost.  Those will be announced later.

You’ll have a great time at Burning Uke XII…Santa Cruz Ukulele Club has been putting this event on now for TWELVE YEARS!!!
GO UCSC!
